F.X. Pichler

Franz Xaver Pichler's winery, or abbreviated "F.X." in Oberloiben, has been one of the fixed stars in the Austrian wine-growing world for decades and is known worldwide for its great dry white wines. It is currently under the fifth generation and today is run by son Lucas together with his wife Johanna.
Most of the wines are grown on steep primeval terraces in the best locations around Dürnstein and are each half planted with Grüner Veltliner and Riesling.
Authenticity is the creed of the Pichler family. They want to make wines that are a true reflection of the year, the soil and the special microclimate of the Wachau.
