At the age of 9, he began helping his father at a catering company. At the age of 14, after completing school, he trained at Vila Joya and worked with Vítor Sobral who always encouraged him to do more. At Mesa de Lemos, he found the perfect stage to bring out the best of local produce, much of it grown at Quinta de Lemos, like the wine and olive oil they also make, and the Dão region itself.

With his flavour alchemy cuisine, Diogo Rocha established his personal style in the Portuguese gastronomy scene, and his restaurant is turning some heads. Off the map, the restaurant can be found at Quinta de Lemos, in Sítio de Silgueiros, somewhere in the vicinity of Viseu, the kind of place you visit to enjoy good food.
