A gastronomy icon since 1973, Roberto Carturan followed his father’s footsteps, and has honoured his gastronomic heritage, continuing his father’s work in the restaurant that bears his name, Alfredo.

Alfredo Carturan, a Pádua native, had the audacity to open an elegant, high-end restaurant, something unheard of 46 years ago. Under Roberto, the restaurant achieved a Michelin Guide star in 2011 thanks to an authentic cuisine that celebrates fresh ingredients and simplicity. And, on Fridays, he surprises diners with a taste of his talent for opera singing.
